Fostering Deaf and Hearing Relations

About the owner:  Vicki Moseley, MA and Communication Works!

Vicki Moseley's passion, focus and high energy presentation skills supercharge the workshops presented by Communication Works!

Through a lifetime of meeting adversity head on, Vicki's determination and persistence propel her through each situation.  After graduating from Stephen Austin State University with a BA in Sociology, she attended graduate school at Gallaudet University in Washington DC , earning a Masters degree in Counseling and working as a career placement counselor advising Deaf students in their transition to the working world.

In 1990, she moved to Seattle as a counselor in the Deaf Program at Seattle Central Community College.  Her engaging friendly nature quickly made her one of the most sought-after counselors for Deaf students.  Sara Geballe chose Vicki as her co-partner in Seattle Diversity Works and Vicki remained as primary trainer when Sara sold Seattle Diversity Works! (SDW) to Hearing Speech Deafness Center (HSDC).   Vicki then purchased SDW from HSDC in 2006 and Communication Works! was born.

Vicki's passion and skill for demonstrating that communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing employees, customers or clients and hearing people does not have to be complicated has resulted in outstanding results for her clients.  Her workshops effectively create respectful attitudes and deliver results-oriented training so that all barriers to clear and positive communication are removed.

Her goal is to brighten your day emotionally, while enriching it practically. You will feel and know that she is there for you. Her 20 years as a counselor at Seattle Central Community College have served her well. She is an established leader in the Deaf community and has been on the ADWAS (Abused Deaf Women Advocacy Services) board and staff for most of her 20 years here in the Northwest.

Vicki's ability to speak to an audience with style and grace, combined with her gift for maintaining an objective perspective and knack for understanding others allow her to shine both as a speaker and in private interactions with others.

When she's not presenting workshops, she prioritizes quality time with family and friends. If an opportunity presents to travel and learn about another culture, or to try something new  (sky diving, anyone?) she's first in line.
